Séan Snook

Guitarist, Multi-instrumentalist & Songwriter

Séan Snook is a highly versatile, Bristol-based session guitarist, multi-instrumentalist and musical director. Revered for his incredibly fluid playing style across an array of genres, Seán has spent years touring and recording internationally, serving as an elite sideman for both major label and independent artists across the UK, Europe, Japan, and the US.

His exceptional emotive feel on the fretboard, lap steel, and pedal steel has made him a premier studio asset for definitive Bristol musical royalty, collaborating with the likes of Beth Gibbons (Portishead), Geoff Barrow, Ben Salisbury, Lady Nade and hip-hop act BocaWoody. His music department credits also span into acclaimed media, contributing guitar work to films directed by Ben Wheatley (including Free Fire) and the BBC documentary Banksy’s Alternativity.

Famously, Seán is also one of the rare musicians to have completed the grueling endurance milestone of touring the United States to perform in all 50 states in 50 days. When he isn’t shaping the next generation of musical talent as a popular lecturer and educator at BIMM University Bristol, Seán fronts his own project. As a solo artist, his Americana-tinged songwriting and storytelling have garnered rave reviews, with the NME praising his original material as “harmony-laden, melancholic pop”.
